Laura shares an example of meeting a fellow meditator after years have passed, and the qualities of mindful connection and non-attachment she experienced.

"I could see recognition of me in this person, and me of them. Yet there was also this quality of presence, as if I'm meeting this person for the first time. There was such a beautiful quality of freshness and openness, yet warmth and familiarity in our connection and our sharing. And it also didn't feel sticky. I wasn't holding onto this person being a certain way for me, and neither me for them."
